   Call For Papers
We are pleased to announce that the Archaeological Sciences of the Americas
Symposium 2009 is soliciting paper and poster presentations. The conference
will be held at the Hyatt Regency in Tampa, Florida from October 2­4 2009.
The goal of the symposium is to address and discuss issues pertaining to the
science of prehistoric and historic materials. This symposium traditionally
focuses on the archaeology of the Americas; however professionals and
students engaged in projects outside the Americas are also encouraged to
submit abstracts.
We are accepting abstracts for both paper and poster presentations. The
symposium is open to students, academic faculty and professionals working in
independent and government settings.  Please forward this message to others
who might be interested.
Abstracts are limited to 250 words and the submission/payment deadline is 7
August 2009.  Paper presentations will be limited to 20­25 minutes. Please
submit abstracts electronically in pdf or word format via e-mail to
asas2009symposium at gmail.com <mailto:asas2009symposium at gmail.com> . Snail
mail abstracts will be accepted at the address listed below.
The fee due for abstract submission includes registration and the general
fees for the symposium.  Rates for students are $60 and professionals $90.
